EXPRESS LEARNING ON2

The best methodology so we can compact 4 months into 10 weeks.

NY ON2 FOOTWORK (SHINES)

The best timing is developed through working on our shines and clean footwork. These shines challenge you to keep your accents and weight changes on time while bringing out the "soul" of the salsa beat.

NY SALSA PARTNERWORK

This class is a favourite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to explore the new dance moves taught in this class, while also mastering the classic moves.

NY SPINNING & STYLING

Learning to be a multiple spinner, with clean lines, great spotting and fluid speed becomes achievable faster when you learn the correct techniques and timing from a world class spinner.

Did You Know?

Salsa On2 is not new to Toronto, however did you know that there are differences in how On2 Salsa is danced even throughout the many professional Salsa schools in New York? If you do a quick search on YouTube and look for Huracan Dance Company, Santo Rico, Yamulee, Iroko or Baila Society you'll see different styles and signature moves coming from how they interpret and accent the count they are dacing to. Give it a try, you'll learn so much from just following their routines. They represent the spectrum of creative musicality that moves and enchants us every time we watch them on stage.

We are ardent lovers of the authentic Huracan On2 style and this lead to Huracan Canada it's Canadian branch, being born. Huracan Canada has been focused on bringing this famous style of Salsa On2 to Toronto.

Salsa will keep evolving so complimenting your Salsa with a repertoire of signature moves straight from Huracan Dance company, from shines and parnertwork to spinning techniques will sharpen your own style and On2 flavour and leave you ready to dance at the NY congresses opening up soon.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE EXPERIENCING

Mario Abanico Dance

Mario Figueroa

Family Therapist

A few months of  salsa training with Karen has improved my salsa skills more than a few years in other schools. Karen showed me the fine details, the tricks,  to find the right timing On2.

Iryna Abanico Dance

Iryna Zalyapska

Accountant

This training has made me relize that dance is an artform that needs to be expressed through a mix of both body an soul. The Huracan method makes my body feel the music, my partner and the moves, and lets me own it!
